Dr. Baxter was Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 1997, and specializes in sports-related injuries, arthroscopy, and joint replacements.
Dr. Baxter was valedictorian of his high school class and the recipient of a Governor’s Scholarship Award. He obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Mississippi and Delta State University. He achieved his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi, and did his general surgery internship in the Department of General Surgery at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas. He also received his Orthopaedic training there, where he was the recipient of the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. He was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
