About Uosife Alfahd

Uosife Alfahd, MD, FRCSC, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in total joint surgery and revisions. In his surgical practice, Dr. Alfahd uses Mako®, a robotic-arm assisted technology that uses a 3D model of the patient’s hip or knee to preplan the joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Alfahd received his medical degree and completed an internship in medicine at Al Arab Medical University in Benghazi, Libya. He completed his surgical internship and residency at Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He went on to complete a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstructive surgery at St. Michael Hospital, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Alfahd is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, AO Trauma North America, Canadian Royal College of Physicians, Canadian Orthopedic Association, and the Canadian Medical Association. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Alfahd specializes in primary and revision total knee and hip replacement, partial knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the knee, fracture treatment, and general orthopaedic surgical procedures.
